Sioux Center, Iowa - The Comets headed back south to the ASB Dome where they took on the Morningside Mustangs and Briar Cliff on Friday. Both GPAC teams managed to use their hot bats and strong pitching to take down the Comets in both games.

Game 1: L vs. Morningside 0-9
The Mustangs jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning plating four runs. They followed up by scoring five more runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. 

The Comets failed to string together any offense, recording just one hit. Mayville State also had 3 errors in the game. Lacey Mathiowetz gave up 10 scattered hits, all of which were just singles. 

Game 2: L vs. Briar Cliff 1-8
The Comets had a short game break and were back at it, taking on another GPAC opponent. Mayville State would score first in the bottom of the third when Lindsey Tulla doubled to, scoring Ella Janze who was at second.

That lead would be short lived for the Comets. The Charges came roaring back in the top of the 4th, scoring 3 runs on 4 hits to take the 3-1 lead. They would tackle on two more hits in the 5th and another 3 in the 6th making it a 8-1 ball game.
