Box Score The Presentation College Saints were able to score early and often against Mayville State's defense Saturday afternoon. After a 17-0 start for the Saints, MSU was able to answer with a score to bring it to 17-7 at the end of the first quarter. The second saw both defenses settle in and find ways to force field goals and punts throughout. Presentation tacked on a late field goal as time expired in the half to make it 23-7.
The third quarter was all Saints, scoring three times. Zachary Sebern had a 61-yard touchdown run to make it 37-7, and Austin Eggl connected with William Moffet for a 73-yard touchdown on the next drive to erase all doubt of any kind of comeback for the Comets.
Preston Hamlette tacked on a late touchdown run for MSU to bring it to 44-14 midway through the 4th quarter, Presentation was able to drain the clock enough to end the game easily.
Austin Eggl went 20-32 with 400 yards and two touchdowns, connecting both times with William Moffet, he ended up with six catches for 186 yards. Zachary Sebern rushed seven times for 90 yards and a score for the Saints, as well. Preston Hamlette provided two touchdowns for the Comets, along with 48 yards on eleven attempts.
The Comets are on the road against Valley City State next Saturday, kickoff is set for 2:00 PM.
