Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ABERDEEN, SD – The Comets stayed in it until the end, but Presentation pulled away late in a 4-1 victory in game one on Saturday morning. The game was tied at one with Presentation batting in the top of the sixth when Celia Cerezo singled in Shanice Webb on a 1-2 count, scoring a run and giving the Saints a 2-1 lead.

Presentation tacked on two more in the inning when Lenessa Nelson scored on a fielder's choice and Cortni Mendoza doubled to left field, scoring Darrian Gibson. The 4-1 lead would hold to give the Saints the win. 

The Comets were able to get on the board in the first inning. Danielle Sheridan drove in Shaye Kemball off a base hit to center, but that's all Mayville State would get.

Morgan Plumbtree earned the victory for Presentation. She went seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out one and only walking one.

Presentation racked up ten hits in the game. Kassandra Orozco and Krystle Schweers each collected multiple hits for the Saints to lead them at the plate in game one. 

The Comets watched game two slip away early and couldn't recover in a 2-1 loss. The Saints took the lead when Shanice Webb drove in two runs on a line-drive double in the first inning.

AJ Tinoco responded in the bottom half of the inning with a home run over the center field fence to make things 2-1. Then the pitching and defense held firm throughout the rest of the game. 

The pitching was strong on both sides. Presentation College pitchers struck out 12, while the Comets sat down four.

Ashlyn O'Keefe earned the win for Presentation College. She surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.

Haley Kravetz took the loss after going seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.

The Comets now sit at 6-10 in the North Star and square off against Bellevue and Dickinson State next weekend for conference games.
