One bright spot for Mayville State was a single from Jade Ledochowski in the second inning to get some runners on the base path. MSU couldn't really muster anything else throughout the game.

Monique Ashley led things off on the rubber for Bruins. She surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out ten and walking none.

Shaye Kemball toed the rubber for Mayville State. She allowed six hits and four runs over six innings, striking out six.

Kemball, Tai Yamamoto, Ledochowski, and Nicole Bunting each collected one hit to lead the way for Mayville State in game one.

Comets 4, Bruins 7
Mayville State got things moving in the first inning when Nicole Bunting hit a solo home run to make it 1-0. Shaye Kemball followed that with a shot over the fence for herself to get the early lead 2-0 for the Comets. 

The Bruins were able to respond with four runs in the fourth inning. In that inning, Kelsey Arnold singled on a 3-1 count, scoring a run, Grace Glotfelty's sac fly scored another, Maricela Egan tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Kayla Young's sac fly scored another for the Bruins.

Brieanna Brock led things off in the circle for the Bruins. She allowed six hits and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Annika Seedborg was in the pitcher's circle for Mayville State. She went four innings, allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking one. Lindsey Swanson threw two innings out of the bullpen.

The Comets hit three home runs on the day. Shaye Kemball, Jade Ledochowski, and Nicole Bunting all went deep in game two. 

Mayville State collected seven hits on the day. Kemball and Ledochowski each collected two hits to lead the Comets at the plate.
