Mayville, N.D. - The Mayville State Softball team looks to pick up their first conference victory at Presentation College on Friday and Saturday. First pitch on both days are scheduled for 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM against the Saints. 

Quick Hits on the Comets:

The Comet Softball team enter the conference weekend with a 4-12 overall record with a 0-4 record in conference play.
The Comets last weekend went 2-4 dropping four games to Bellevue University on Friday and Saturday and then sweeping Hastings College on Sunday. 
The Comets are averaging a .269 batting average this season with 115 hits, 23 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, and 59 runs batted in. 
In the field, MSU has a .942 fielding percentage, a 6.22 earned run average, allowing 152 hits, 90 earned runs, 41 walks, and 35 strikeouts. 
Shaye Kemball is leading the Comets with a .333 batting average, 13 hits, six doubles, one home run, and 12 runs batted in. 
Ashlyn Tingey is second on the team with a .321 batting average with nine hits, and three runs batted in. 
Dayna Gutierrez has a team-leading 16 hits, one double, one triple, and four runs batted in. 
Kemball also in the circle, has a 5.88 earned run average over 25.0 innings pitched, 36 hits, 21 earned runs, 12 walks, and 13 strikeouts. 
Sidney Fairbanks has two wins on the season with a 4.83 earned run average allowing 46 hits, 23 earned runs, 13 walks, and six strikeouts. 
Courtney Boll has two wins as well with a 7.44 earned run average, allowing 69 hits, 45 earned runs, 14 walks, and 16 strikeouts.

Matching up with the Saints:

The Presentation College Saints enter the conference weekend against the Comets with a 2-14 overall record and 1-3 in conference play. 
The Saints are hitting .296 on the regular season with 127 hits, 24 doubles, seven triples, four home runs, and 56 runs batted in. 
In the field, PC has a .907 fielding percentage, a 10.25 earned run average, 212 hits, 144 earned runs, 47 walks, and 51 strikeouts. 
Sam Vanderwel is leading the Saints with a .471 batting average, eight hits, two doubles, and one run batted in.
