Comets host Viterbo for a NSAA weekend series at Paul Karlstad Field

Mayville, N.D. – The Mayville State Softball team hosts Viterbo University at Paul Karlstad Softball Complex in Portland on Saturday and Sunday. The doubleheaders are scheduled for 2:00 & 4:00 pm on Saturday and 12:00 & 2:00 pm on Sunday.
 
Quick Hits on the Comets:
The Mayville State University Softball team enters the four-game weekend series with the V-Hawks with a 15-15 overall record and 11-7 in conference play.
The Comets had their eight-game winning streak snapped this week dropping two games to Valley City State on Wednesday.
Mayville State is currently averaging as a team a .304 batting average as a team with 164 runs scored, 249 hits, 50 doubles, eight triples, 20 home runs, 154 runs batted in, and a .389 on-base percentage.
In the field, the Comets have a .945 fielding percentage a 6.49 earned run average allowing 255 hits, 135 earned runs, 64 walks, and 76 strikeouts.

Courtney Boll has a 7.71 earned run average allowing 110 hits, 64 earned runs, 21 walks, and 26 strikeouts over 74.2 innings pitched.
 
Matching up with the V-Hawks:
The V-Hawks enter the weekend series with the Comets with a 6-28 overall record and 6-14 in conference play.
Viterbo split with Waldorf University on Wednesday winning game one by a final of 6-5 and losing game two 8-12.
The V-Hawks have a .240 batting average as a team with 198 hits, 35 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 87 runs batted in, and 26 stolen bases.
