Box Score Dickinson, ND- Comet softball could not hold on late and lose a close one to Dakota State to end their season in extra innings.

Final Score:
Mayville State 6, Dakota State 10 (F/8)

How It Happened:
The Comets would get the scoring started in the bottom of the 1st inning after Pino doubled to right field scoring both Roeges and Howell. The Trojans would answer back with three unanswered runs which was lead by a two-run home run in the top of the 4th inning to give themselves a 3-2 lead.
Mayville State would answer back in the bottom half of the 5th inning with a two RBI single from Pino scoring Hughes and Howell. Avila for the Comets would step up and deliver a single into right field and score Roeges to give the Comets a 5-3 lead. 
Dakota State would score in the 6th inning to cut the Mayville State lead to 5-4 but a single in the bottom of the 6th inning by Howell would score Shumway and increase their lead back to two making it 6-4. The Trojans would hit a two-run home run in the top of the 7th to even the score at six to force extra innings and would control the extra innings scoring four runs and then putting down the Comets in order in the bottom of the 8th inning.
