Sioux Center, Iowa - After the games last week in Kansas City, Kansas were canceled due to weather, the Comets were able to get back out on the field in SIoux Center, Iowa where they played four games in the Dordt Dome.
The Comets saw four GPAC opponents over the weekend and struggled to get any type of moment to stay on their side. Offensively, the Comets would find base runners over the four games but couldn't string anything together to capitalize. In the circle the Comets struggled to find rhythm, giving up consecutive walks and timely home runs.Â
"Overall, we are a little out of positioning, rotating a lot of young players around and trying to piece together some parts. It is not lost upon our team or staff that we are 1-11, however, we will wake up Monday and get back to work. Our players are bought in to eachother and believe in the process and that is all we can ask them to continue to do," said head coach
Jordan Olson.

"We aren't going to reinvent the wheel, we need to collectively be more competitive, make some adjustments on the mound individually to keep us in games and offensively, we need to string hits together with a more confident approach at the plate. I look forward to heading down south next week and playing on some real dirt and seeing the sky when we play instead of a ceiling."
The Comets will head down to Wichita, Kansas next Friday and Saturday where they will get another crack at York and Hastings and will see two new opponents. The tournament is hosted by Friends University and will be the first time the Comets hit real dirt and are outside this season.
