Bellevue, Neb. - The Mayville State Comets Softball team headed south for a NSAA four game series match up against the Bellevue Bruins. The Bruins hot offense would be too much for the Comets to handle and the would take the series 4-0.
"At this point in the season we are really struggling to have all the pieces come together in the same game. If our pitching is on, our defense and hitting are off and vice versa," said head coach
Jordan Olson. "Both Cunningham and Zoucha shut us down on day one but on day two I thought we battled against Cunningham better and Autumn put us in a really good position to win that ball game. Unfortunately, we lack a lot of confidence to go out and finish games which is understandable with how our season as been going."

"It isn't lost upon the players or our coaching staff what our season looks like in the record book or how it feels as a program to continuously come home empty handed," said Olson. "Right now my focus as a head coach is to keep trying to prep the players the right way, remain positive & keep our focus on being a TEAM. Playing at home this weekend will be a nice break from over two months on the road."
