Mayville State University fell to Dickinson State 7-3 on Monday during the final Dakota Athletic Conference regular season game of the year for both teams.
Dickinson jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after scoring in the top of the first before MSU tied it up with a run of its own in the bottom of the inning. DSU scored three more in the top of the second to get a 4-1 lead and things stayed the same until two more DSU runs in the top of five made it 6-1. One more Bluehawk run in the top of six gave Dickinson a 7-1 lead. MSU would fight back with two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Dickinson would hold on for a 7-3 victory.
Angelique Macias was 3-for-3 at the plate for the Comets and
Jessica Flores was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Katie Corbin had two runs batted in for MSU.
