MINOT, N.D. – Jamestown College's Jessica Lees pitched seven complete innings, giving up just six hits, on her way to a complete game 3-0 win in the opening game of the Dakota Athletic Conference tournament Friday at South Hill Complex.
Lees struck out five and walked just one, throwing 113 total pitches to earn the win.
The Jimmies (17-31) scored all the runs they would need as Celene Eccles hit a first inning solo home run. Becky Lewis finished with two hits for Jamestown College, while Kristin Enos had an RBI.
Jessica Flores paced Mayville State with two hits.
Valea Crowder pitched six innings, giving up three runs – one earned – and struck out two in the loss.
Jamestown College plays top seed Dickinson State at 12:30 p.m. Mayville State moves into a loser out game at 5:30 p.m.
