Hall of Fame
Tom Soholt played football and baseball at Mayville State from 1965 to 1969, lettering all four years in both sports. He was co-captain of the 1967 and 1968 football teams, and was named all-conference in 1967. He also earned honorable mention District 12 honors that year. He played on both offense and defense, and scored all of the team’s points and led in yards rushing in the Mayville State vs. Jamestown College game in 1968. He is a member of the Mayville State Athletic Hall of Fame 1965 football team. Tom played center field in baseball, and was a member of the 1968 team that won the district playoffs and brought the NDCAC and District 12 NAIA championships home. Soholt also excelled as a participant in track at Mayville State. He graduated in November of 1969 with a bachelor of science degree in education, majoring in physical education and earning a minor in business.
